When we look at the early church we get a picture of small communities of people who followed Jesus together. The Book of Acts, especially Acts 2:42-47, gives us a great picture of the early church and the components of biblical community, which encompassed both the "temple courts" and "house to house."

These believers engaged in life together through teaching, fellowship, communion, prayer, miracles, radical generosity, and corporate worship. Small groups afford the same opportunity in an intentional and consistent fashion. One avenue of meeting in smaller groups is through Home Fellowships, gatherings of church members within the comfort and familiarity of a home. Here we share life with one another, study the Word and encourage one another in our walks with Jesus.
Are you coming to church consistently on Sunday but not participating in the lives of other brothers and sisters between Sundays? Do you feel a yearning to live life together with others? We encourage you to seek and knock for that smaller part of the Body of Christ that you are meant to run the race with.
